Dolly Purefoy

Dorothy (Dolly as she was known) Purefoy was my great aunt. I knew her mostly as the mother of David Lane, a beloved cousin of my mother. Aunty Dolly was married to a doctor from Cork called Sam Lane. They lived in Bognor Regis in England, where Sam died, from suicide. Dolly and her three children, John, David and Jil (Joan Isolde Lane), returned to Ireland. David was much loved by the Chamberlain family. He was renowned as a surgeon and an oboe player.
